"There's a reason I don't date crew, Commander..."
Sure, Joker, that's why you skipped the crew and went straight for the ship. I'm still not sure whether to laugh or get goosebumps around these two. I mean, it's not that weird for a pilot to love his ship... but for the ship to reciprocate? That's some serious stuff. I love both of them though. I really hoped they (plus D&D engineering duo, who also makes a comeback) would both make it back to the game. And they did.

And they deserve a way better art than this. But oh well. I got myself two books on digital painting today, so I'll practice. Uncharted goes next. But after that, I'll probably come back to the Normandy. I loved the third game.

Even though this is not the ending I've chosen (I went with Control), I kind of liked it, too. Even though glowy-eyed Joker creeped the hell out of me. Unlike a lot of people, I'm not hating Bioware for the endings (they could've done better, I missed seeing what happened to the rest of the people I grew to like, but still). I was way too busy to think about computing capacity of an oak leaf to care about plotholes ;)

And, to quote Joker's VA from some three years ago: "I've been jocking to get screen time with Tricia Helfer for a quite a while. I guess it's sad that our first couple in a video game is where she's a disembodied voice..."
Oh, ye of little faith, Seth Green, ye of little faith :D

... now I wonder... since they're both synthetic/organic now... shouldn't this be flagged with mature content? I mean, what if sparks are something really, really explicit from the AI point of view? :P

In that case, I think you might have chosen a wrong game. Too much bothering story and stuff. Try Call of Duty instead.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! That was a jest, My good friend! I actually bought the game because of Tali zorah vas normandy, But that's another story. The dialogue and characters are AMAZING! The plot, I mean, little hard to understand for me (jumped right in to ME2.) But I am smart enough to theorize what I don't know. And, of course, to kill things. Not just blam blam, dead, but with bionics, Pyro rounds, it's almost art. And, the biggest reason why I bought the game (besides Tali) Joker. His dialogue alone is worth buying the game. And call of duty's story? I understand MW2 and MW3, it's built for idiots, but black ops? I had trouble understanding why they had to send life preservers to the surface to launch the code for "doomsday". So, yeah. I'm not unintelligent, just a little erratic.

Sorry but i am no fan of this weird Adam&Eve scenario

The endings in general were diappointing atleast to me.

The only "right" ending would be the destruction because this was what Shepard (and myself and many others) fought for :

The destruction of the reapers and the survival of the universe ...

The other endings are what the reapers wanted :

Control takes out Shepard , the one who managed to rally the ENTIRE galaxy for the fight .
With the control ending they got him in their ranks, assimilated.

And "Synthesis" is "Control" gone amok .
Now EVERYBODY is assimilated and "joined" the ranks with the Reapers.
I also think that your squad and everyone else who relied upon you wouldn't prefer "joining" the ranks of the reapers and be the "apex of your/Reapers evolution".

And... your point is...? I mean, this is a piece of fanart, done pretty much only because I love the characters. There are better places to vent your frustration. Like Bioware forums. You'll find plenty of conversation partners there.

But please, don't start that argument here.

This is a very beautiful fanart! EDI in the game is quite pretty but your version of her is even more stunning.

"shouldn't this be flagged with mature content? I mean, what if sparks are something really, really explicit from the AI point of view?"
:D:D:D:D

You know, my opinion is quite similar to yours. I don't hate the endings, even if they are a little bit lame and it's a shame that the developers didn't make a decent epilogue (like the one in Dragon Age Origins).

Joker and EDI: Caprica Six's, I mean Tricia Helfer's voice is so hot that I'm not surprised that Joker fell in love with her. However... in ME2 their hate/respect/friendship/love relationship. They were cute. In ME3 at first I loved that EDI found herself a body and Joker was completely enthusiastic about her "avatar", but after a while their relationship became a little bit creepy. I hated that my Shepard was forced to give them dating/love/relationship advices all the time. I was like "guys, I like you both, but that's not my business".

Hey, what do we know? Some sparks lead to some pretty dangerous things! :)

But as much as I'd love to take credit for her, I can't. I merely took references from art book and several videos of EDI. I didn't actually improve anything :)

My problem with the ending comes with the Normandy part. That has quite a few holes in it and could obviously need more time. But the part with the Catalyst, I love. As far as a decent epilogue is concerned... well, I considered the whole game a "closure" in and of itself, but counting just one game, the whole battle of London served me as one. To me, the true climax of about five dozens of gameplay hours was the Sword fleet arriving to Earth in full strength, ready to take on the collectors. That right there was the goal :)

And well, almost none of the dialogues with those two were mandatory, so... ;) Even though I must admit being creeped out too, but more from the idea of my ship turning ballistic in case Joker'd get hurt. I wouldn't want to be aboard. Or anywhere in the vicinity. Preferably a mass relay or two away would be a safe distance... But I loved reactions on EDI's platform. Especially Donnelly was priceless. Three times even! I know why I love that guy :D

Not sure what you exactly mean by "closure", since many people's milleage varies in this regard, but Bioware said they will. Which makes me a bit uneasy though, despite me also liking a bit more insight to the "story after story". Rewriting/editing a story once it's been told just vibes wrong with me. Dunno why.

Glad to have an ally though. After the last few days, that's a welcome sight :)

I know what you mean too many people are coming done on Bioware because they have to many questions to what happens instead of appreciating the art that went into the that indicates a new beginning.

and this is what I meant by "closure" (I mit have spelled it wrong). At the end of Dragon Age Origins there are written text next to pictures that tell a small epilogue, A Life After.

Oh, don't worry, you spelled it right, but since "closure" can mean a different thing for every player, I asked what exactly do you imagine by that :)
I suppose the absence of that is what ticked most people off. I missed it a bit, too (even though I'd prefer a rendered scene to dry text-form), but it's nothing to hate the ending about, let alone three amazing games.

Agreed, all I am saying that Bioware could do is the samething they did at the end of Dragon Age Origins with it's multiple progressions and endings told by the aftermath story. From the link I showed you but instead of plain pictures use a rendering of the characters involved in who the paragraph talks about and shows them diding something that the story pertains to.

Yeah. Even though, I see the whole third game as one big closure. It tied up all the stories, finished most of the loose ends... and it was fourty hours worth closure :)

I was tempted to choose Synthesis, too. But then I thought about being forced to get all machine-y without anyone having the courtesy to ask me first (even though Shep telling "Brb, need to ask the people" to the Catalyst sure is a funny idea...) and went from heroic sacrifice to heroic reaperification.

And yeah, at least Joker's eyes didn't freak the hell out of me xD
